OHOA Master Landscaping Plan
In Winter 2009, the Oella HOA obtained the services of Stone Hill Design Associates to develop a landscaping plan for the HOA common areas. The goals were to improve property values, reduce erosion and runoff, and enhance quality of life for OHOA residents by improving the common spaces with low maintenance, native or non-invasive planting schemes. The design for the plan was completed in early 2010. You may view it here, or you may view the presentation boards at the annual meeting of members.
A list of suggested plants are included in the plan. We welcome residents to incorporate these planting ideas into their own landscapes (disclaimer: may require ARC approval). Small plots of land (for instance, small islands and strips of grass in parking lots) were not incorporated into the designs, but they may be improved with the suggested plants.
Now that the the landscaping plan is complete, we are working on strategies to fund and implement various aspects of the plan. If you would like to volunteer your time to write grant proposals, help with fundraisers, or participate in plantings, please contact the community manager or let us know at a board meeting.
